Someday Baby Grenache '24
For years and years, Tom asked Jolette to make a red wine. Her reply was always the same, "Someday, Baby..."
Her love letter and wedding gift to him comes from a old vine Paardeberg vineyard planted with Grenache. Grapes were hand-harvested at sunrise and stored overnight in a cold room. They were then placed in open-top fermenters (25% as wholebunches) for 14 days, pressed, and aged over 10 months in neutral French oak.
Pomegranate, sour cherry, purple fynbos, and white pepper dance lightly in tribute to the spirit and revolution of the Swartand.
