Rooidraai Chenin Blanc '23
A layered site-driven expression of Swartland Chenin from sixth-gen farmer, Danie Carnius, and his family's Rooidraai vineyard.
Planted in 1981, the bush vine vineyard's mineral-rich, red soils and harsh sun exposure naturally deliver low yields that, when coupled with a restrained approach to winemaking, shape a wine of quiet intensity and depth rather than overt fruit ripeness.
Expect vivid aromatics of mandarin peel and lemongrass with subtle earthy nuance and a slightly creamy palate lifted by a saline finish.
