Hogan Carignan '23
From the same 19 year old dry bushvines as the Carignan used in the Divergent blend.
South-west facing, the vineyard is mulched to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Farmed with care, no herbicides are used and only manual weed removal with cover crops planted to boost soil health.
Grapes are crushed and destemmed and then placed in open top fermenters, gently handled and placed in old oak where the wine is aged for 9 months.
Expect lots of cherry layered with fragrant spice. A medium-bodied, vibrant expression of Carignan. Crunchy acidity and a lovely finish.
